Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Originally from Worthington Ohio she dropped out of high school and moved to Los Angeles with her mother after her parents divorce. She landed her debut role as Rachel's Room's title character, in 2001, despite having a difficult time in the financial department. In the following year, she was awarded an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002, for her role as the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder in Greenwich. In 2004, Grace was cast as Shannon Rutherford in the television show Lost in which she was a main actor for the first two seasons winning an Screen Actors Guild Award shared by the entire cast. Grace was keen to pursue film after playing opposite Tom Welling's character on The Fog, in 2005. She starred on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in 2007 and Taken (2008) opposite Liam Neeson. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is the modern-day adaptation that Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played the role of Shannon in Lost, including the finale. The year was 2013, and she appeared in the sixth series of Californication. She portrays Faith as a groupie, and is also a model the stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She's a Gyllenhaal, the child of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), she is a bit younger in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first roles were in the films of her father when he was an adolescent. Along with her brother, she was also on the screen in Donnie Darko (2000). Later, she was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her performance as the lead of Secretary (2002) as well as in Sherrybaby (2006), the erotic drama about romance and Sherrybaby (2006). The actress was also nominated by her fellow actors for the Golden Globe Award. The Dark Knight, which was released in 2008, following numerous highly successful films, including World Trade Center (2006), brought Gyllenhaal greater fame. The year 2009 was the time she received a nomination for the award of Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her role of a single mom on screen in Crazy Heart. Following that she continued to star in comedies and dramas like Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) as well as Won't Back Down (12). Her other roles include the role of a Secret Service agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013) as well as a singer in Frank (2014) as well as The title role in the drama The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). In 2021 Gyllenhaal has made her scriptwriting and directing debut in the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter for which she received the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
