Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson Both lawyers. When she moved to Oxfordshire around the age of five, Emma enrolled at The Dragon School. Emma made the decision to become an actor when she was six. In the past, she attended the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. The school taught her singing dance, acting and singing. When she was ten, she had performed and taken as the main character in several Stagecoach productions as well as school plays. In 1999 casting began for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was found by agents via her Oxford teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were chosen to play the three lead characters Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. The movie's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's first cinematic screen appearance. The movie broke all records with regards to opening day and weekend revenues, and it also became the most successful 2001 film. The film was praised by critics, as were the performance of three young actors. The Daily Telegraph, an important British publication, described Emma's acting "amazing". Emma's performance received nominations and received five awards in the film.
